Our Mission Since 2000
Since 2000, Genesis Academy has specialized in traditional Taekwon-Do. We strive to instill the following tenets in students and instructors alike. Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-control, Indomitable Spirit. These are achieved by action both in and out of the dojang. Our mission is to empower individuals and families of all ages, starting from 6 years old, to achieve their personal best in martial arts and life.

Began his Taekwon-Do journey in 1979 at Jae H Kim Taekwon-Do Fenway, Boston. Mr. Gardner is the Chief instructor at Genesis Academy and has been mentoring students since 2000.

Began his Taekwon-Do journey in 2002 at the Mattahunt elementary school in Mattapan. Has competed in locally, nationally and internationally. He strives to teach this art of self defense to future generations.

In 2019, Mr. Pitts, started his Tae Kwon Do journey. As a lifelong martial arts enthusiast, Mr. Pitts has studied multiple martial arts & has a passion to teaching & spread martial arts to all who are willing to learn.

Master Luis McDougall – 8th Dan Black Belt, International Taekwon-Do Organization
Master Luis McDougall began his Taekwon-Do journey in 1973 at just 11 years old. With over five decades of dedication to the art, he has become one of the most respected Taekwon-Do instructors in the region.

Master Luis McDougall began his Taekwon-Do journey in 1973 at just 11 years old. With over five decades of dedication to the art, he has become one of the most respected Taekwon-Do instructors in the region.
His distinguished career includes representing Puerto Rico at the 1983 ITF World Championship in Copenhagen, Denmark, where he earned a Top 10 world ranking. Two years later, he captured the title of Pan-American Champion after winning the ITF Regional Tournament in Guatemala.
Beyond his competitive success, Master McDougall has played a vital role in developing athletes and promoting the art of Taekwon-Do. He served as the Olympic Coach at the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico (1985–1986), was appointed National Coach (2013–2015), and later held the position of President of ITF USA (2015).
Today, Master McDougall continues to share his passion for Taekwon-Do through teaching, mentoring, and inspiring new generations to achieve excellence—both on and off the mat.
